Family and the Priesthood

Last week my parents and my little sister Stephanie came to see me. I was in the middle of teaching a Book of Mormon class with my companion and I knew they were on their way over to the chapel. I kept looking up at the clock and all of the sudden I see my little sister running down the hallway towards me. I didn't know if I should keep teaching and just have her sit next to me and wait till it was over when a member from our church said, "well, run to her!" haha so I ran to her and hugged her. Walking up behind her I saw my mom, and I lost it. I ran to her and hugged her and couldn't let go. I looked back at my dad and he had tears in his eyes. It was the best reunion!
We had an amazing weekend together. I took them to Palmyra and we went to the Hill Cumorah Visitors Center, The Joseph Smith Farm, The Book of Mormon Publication Site, and we went down to Fayette to the Peter Whitmer Farm.
Before my family left I asked my dad if he would give my companion and I a Priesthood blessing. The Priesthood is the eternal power and authority of God. My dad was able to give us a blessing to help us to work hard for the rest of our missions. I am so grateful for a father that is worthy of the Priesthood. I am grateful to our LOVING Heavenly Father who loves us so much and wants nothing more than to have us return to him. I know that Priesthood blessings give us direction, healing, and comfort.
